How to Forward Email
I can't tell you how many times I have received forwarded emails and had access to EVERYONE'S email addresses that it had been forwarded to before! Not a good idea, folks!
Thre is a Privacy Act in place for everything on the internet - including email addresses.
People do this all the time - don't be one of them. When you forward an email, it is very simple to delete ALL the names in the body of that email. After clicking "Forward", the email will open in a new window so that you can fill in the people you want to forward it to. In this window, you should drag your mouse to highlight every name in the body of the email! Then press DELETE! And that's all there is to it!
This is common courtesy. Please do it!
When people leave the email addresses on a forwarded email, they are perpetuating "spam." I know you don't want to do that. You see if the email addresses are left on a forwarded email, anyone receiving that email will also have the addresses for all the people who got it before they did.
Not everyone is honest and by deleting these addresses, you will be helping to stop email phishing. Phishing is when someone collects all those addresses and then sends unsolicited mail to them.
A really great idea is to also use the BCC or blind carbon copy when you add people to your forwarded email (as well as your new message email). You can put YOUR email address in the To: block and all the others in the BCC block. Works great and no one gets anyone else's email address from you!
